Who is behind this site
rovaniemi-northernlights.com is run by Patrick Kühne, an independent travel publisher based in Markkleeberg near Leipzig, Germany. He builds and maintains a small portfolio of guides to attraction tickets and day tours. There is no agency and no rotating editorial team behind this site. The pages are researched, written and kept up to date by one person, the same one who answers the e-mails.
What this site does
Almost every aurora tour in Rovaniemi is sold with a guarantee, but the guarantees are not the same. Some refund in full if the camera captures nothing, some offer a refund or a free tour the next night, some refund only part of the price, some sell the guarantee as an option, and some campfire and floating tours have none at all. We sort the tours by what the guarantee actually covers, explain what "seen on camera" means in practice, and show group size, duration and live prices side by side, so the choice can be made in one place. We are not a booking agent. Every reservation happens on the booking platform.
How we earn money
When you book through one of our links, the booking platform pays us a commission. Your price stays exactly the same: the commission comes out of the platform's margin, not your pocket. No contract obliges us to favour a particular operator, and our comparisons are ordered by what suits the trip, not by what pays us best.
